2020 Summer Clinics
Masters Coaching currently rows in beautiful St. Catharines, Ontario for our summer clinics! The venue has so much to offer, and is a perfect fit for our summer clinic needs. Plenty of protected water for technique, and lanes and a race course for fast racing!
The Masters Coaching Level II Intermediate Clinic includes 2 1/2 days on the water. Clinic focus is on technique. Rowing is primarily by 4s and 6s, giving the athlete a stable and balanced boat in which to work on stroke development.
Participant Requirements: Level II clinics are suitable for women with a minimum of two years’ rowing experience and who receive coaching on a regular basis. Level II is also ideal for advanced rowers who want to build a stronger foundation of stroke mechanics.
The Training Camp includes 3 1/2 days on the water. The clinic will focus on head-to-head race pieces in eights, preparing for regattas and racing with multiple boats across.
Participant Requirements: Applicants to Level III clinics should have a minimum of five years’ racing experience. Rowers also must meet minimum erg scores, as outlined below. Rowers will be expected to submit a 1k erg score when applying to the camp. A 1k test will be conducted at the camp before the first row. Contact us here for more information!
It is strongly recommended that all Level III applicants meet the following erg standards, based on age group.
C – 3:58
D – 4:03
E – 4:09
F – 4:11
G – 4:24
H – 4:29
(NOTE: Masters Coaching also sets erg score expectations for racing boat participants. These erg score expectations are faster than the minimum standards for camp participation.)
Does this sound familiar?
You can't find the time or motivation to work out today.
You've been doing the same erg workouts for years and don't know how to design new ones.
You feel you'd benefit from the support of a work-out "buddy," but you don't belong to a club or your club doesn't have indoor team workouts.
Masters Coaching can help! Join with other rowers for a series of erg coaching sessions by phone. You'll experience the benefits of professional coaching - including workout designs, motivation, instruction and feedback - and the support and accountability of other rowers. It's fun. It's effective. It's affordable - just $99 per month.

How It Works
Mayrene emails your workout 1-2 days in advance for you to look over and send her an email should you have questions.
Check-in: You call in at a designated hour (before you workout). During a 5- to 10-minute conference call, you will receive coaching tips, motivation and answers to any questions or concerns.
We hang up, and you spend the next 40 minutes doing your erg workout with your virtual teammates.
Check-out: After your workout, you call back and report on your experience at the designated time. You'll receive coaching and camaraderie with your virtual workout buddies.
Sign up by emailing Mayrene Earle. Please include your name, address and phone number. You will receive a confirmation and a phone number to call. (Your only phone costs are those charged by your phone company for a domestic call.) Payment by check is due prior to the calls.
Each session is limited to 10 rowers per call.
